2025.12.5013

Summary: Wired Logitech G-series mice (like the G502 HERO) now support button capture and custom mappings, the G502 family's button layouts are corrected, your saved DPI is restored automatically after reconnects, and background power usage is lower.

New features

  • Wired Logitech G-series support: USB-connected G-series mice (G502 HERO and siblings) can now capture buttons and run custom mappings, on par with their wireless counterparts.
  • G102 LIGHTSYNC support: buttons are recognized and mappable; the DPI button becomes configurable once remapped in G HUB.

Improvements

  • Faster, steadier G-series recovery: waking from sleep or replugging a receiver re-arms button capture quickly, and your saved DPI is restored automatically when the device comes back online.
  • Corrected G502 family layouts: side buttons and the tilt wheel on G502 X models now map to the right physical buttons; legacy G502 layouts fixed too.
  • Lighter background footprint: mouse-movement tracking now runs only when needed, and device event handling uses less CPU.
  • Clearer settings layout: keyboard and mapping groups expand as full rows, and app icons are larger and sharper.

Fixes

  • Fixed cases where a DPI slider change could be ignored or overwritten.
  • Fixed an occasional glitch where app icons in settings displayed incorrectly.
  • Several stability fixes for setups with multiple mice or receivers connected at once.

2025.12.5005

Summary: A big quality release — a redesigned first-run permission onboarding, one-click import/export for your mouse mappings, faster input switching in Safari and Chromium (no more AppleScript polling), and a ground-up rework of the Bluetooth / HID layer for steadier reconnects, wake-ups, and multi-device setups.

New features

  • Redesigned first-run onboarding: a clearer step-by-step permission flow with better visuals, live status hints, and full localization in 9 languages. Walks you through Accessibility and Input Monitoring, then hands you off cleanly to the main app.
  • Mouse config import / export: back up your entire mouse mapping setup to a file, or move it to another Mac. Import shows a preview and lets you choose merge or overwrite. Default location is ~/Downloads.
  • Fresh app icon: updated to the new LinguaX logo.

Improvements

  • Safari tab-aware input switching: switching between Safari tabs on different sites now switches your input source correctly (previously it could stick to the last tab's language).
  • Snappier Chromium URL switching: Chrome / Edge / Arc / Brave now react to page changes the moment they happen, instead of being polled. Also lighter on CPU.
  • Steadier reconnects and wake-ups: the Bluetooth / HID plumbing was reworked from the ground up. Waking from sleep, plugging / unplugging receivers, and switching Easy-Switch channels are all more reliable, especially with multiple mice connected at once.
  • Steadier action feedback HUD: the on-screen action marker no longer drifts or jitters on its first frame, and stays put across the screen edge.
  • Cleaner permission handling during onboarding: the app no longer triggers surprise system permission prompts while you're still in the setup flow.

Fixes

  • Fixed a case where the shortcut-recording popup could silently ignore key presses.
  • Fixed a case where a stale connection on one Bluetooth mouse could disturb writes to other connected mice.
  • Fixed several rare crashes tied to disconnect / reconnect churn and waking from sleep.
  • Fixed a case where reloading action mappings could leave a "held" button stuck across devices.
  • Restored missing "Not now" / "I'll restart later" translations and polished onboarding copy across all 9 languages.

2025.12.4866

Summary: Fixes the Logitech scroll-mode (SmartShift) button on setups where it previously wouldn't respond — mice without a thumb button (MX Anywhere 3) and setups with multiple Unifying receivers — plus reliable shortcut triggering in Final Cut Pro and other pro apps, new M750 / M750 L support, and richer screenshot actions.

New features

  • Logitech M750 / M750 L support: buttons on the M750 and M750 L are now recognized and mappable.
  • Identified side buttons on virtual mouse: the virtual mouse view now labels each recognized side button, making it easier to see which button you're configuring.
  • Richer screenshot actions: two new "copy to clipboard" screenshot variants added, and five existing screenshot actions renamed to match the system Screenshot menu for easier discovery.

Improvements

  • Clearer empty-state hint: the mouse mapping panel now tells you a single button can hold multiple gestures, removing the impression that only one is allowed.
  • Softer unrecognized-device prompt: the setup prompt for unknown devices is less alarming and clearer about what will happen next.
  • No feedback HUD on Space switch: the on-screen action marker no longer flashes when switching Spaces, so the transition stays clean.
  • Quieter Bluetooth polling: devices that don't support HID++ DPI / scroll-mode probes are no longer polled endlessly, cutting background load and saving power.
  • Improved German localization: German UI strings polished across the app.

Fixes

  • Fixed the scroll-mode (SmartShift) key not working on Logitech mice without a thumb button (e.g. MX Anywhere 3).
  • Fixed the scroll-mode key failing when several Unifying / Bolt receivers are plugged in at once.
  • Fixed mapped shortcuts silently failing in Final Cut Pro and other apps that require device-level modifier flags.
  • Fixed a stray "empty action" feedback marker that could briefly appear on screen.
  • Fixed a rare startup crash when connecting a Logitech Bluetooth mouse while the app is launching.
  • Fixed a small memory leak when unregistering keyboard action triggers.
  • Fixed spurious action-mapping reloads when refreshing DPI or battery status.

2025.12.4861

Summary: A reliability-focused release for Logitech Bluetooth mice — buttons recover faster and more dependably after an Easy-Switch hand-off or waking from sleep — plus on-screen action feedback and expanded modifier-hold.

New features

  • Action feedback: a small marker briefly appears at the bottom-center of the screen when a mapped keyboard/mouse action fires, so you can tell it triggered (toggle off in Settings).
  • Expanded Modifier Hold: ⌘ / ⌃ / ⇧ / ⌥ now all support "hold to apply, release to restore" (previously Fn only).
  • Cleaner input-source rules: App / Web rules now use a clearer segmented switch.

Improvements

  • Faster Bluetooth recovery: Logitech Bluetooth mice restore the scroll-mode key, side buttons and more faster and more reliably after an Easy-Switch hand-off or waking from sleep.
  • DPI persists: Bluetooth mouse DPI now keeps your set value after restart / wake instead of falling back to default.
  • No first-press delay: fixed a delay on the first button press after the mouse had been idle for a while.
  • Steadier connection: overall improvements to Bluetooth connection stability and power use.

Fixes

  • Fixed occasional unexpected quits when using Logitech Bluetooth mice — the Bluetooth layer was reworked from the ground up to be more stable.
  • Fixed a rare startup crash — a database load failure now recovers safely instead of quitting the app.

2025.12.4850

Summary: Adjust your Logitech mouse's DPI and scroll-wheel mode right inside the app — no official driver needed — plus run Apple Shortcuts from mouse buttons and keyboard mappings, and a new option to hide the menu bar icon.

New features

  • Adjust mouse DPI: set your Logitech mouse pointer speed (DPI) with a slider directly in the app, over both USB and Bluetooth, without installing the official driver.
  • Toggle scroll-wheel mode: a new "Toggle Scroll Wheel Mode" action switches between free-spin and ratchet scrolling in one click (Logitech SmartShift).
  • Run Apple Shortcuts: both mouse buttons and keyboard mappings can now run your Apple Shortcuts.
  • Hide the menu bar icon: an option in Settings hides the top menu bar icon for a cleaner look; reopening the app restores it.

Improvements

  • Tidied up the action menu: "Open Application" now lives under the "Apps & Windows" submenu, and Shortcuts sits on its own at the end, making actions easier to find.
  • More reliable Bluetooth capability detection: DPI and scroll-wheel probing now retries and resets on failure for steadier reads on Bluetooth mice.

Fixes

  • Fixed Logitech M720 and similar devices being ignored — composite Bluetooth devices that declare both mouse and keyboard are now recognized correctly.
  • Fixed already-bound combos getting disabled during recording — keyboard triggers are no longer permanently turned off while recording a mouse shortcut.
  • Fixed flicker and stutter in the Shortcuts picker for a smoother, more stable list.
  • Fixed several scroll-wheel mode toggle glitches around rapid double-clicks and reconnects.

2025.12.4845

Summary: A big upgrade to mouse-button keyboard shortcuts — record richer combos (including ones that were previously impossible), plus a new Open Application action and Logitech Lift support.
