Privacy Policy

LinguaX's core mouse and input-source features run locally. License validation, AIx, purchases and this website use online services. This policy describes the information involved; it is not a promise that no data leaves your device.

Who We Are​

Ermulin Technology Studio operates LinguaX and linguax.app. For privacy requests, email hello@linguax.app. A provider you configure in Bring Your Own API mode applies its own privacy terms to requests sent directly to it.

Information and Purposes​

  • Core app: Mouse and input-source rules run on your Mac. Configuration may sync through Apple's iCloud according to your Apple account settings. Core switching does not send all text you type to LinguaX.
  • Licenses and purchases: We process License keys, purchase or contact information supplied by the sales channel, device identifiers, activation status and timestamps to issue and validate Licenses, provide access and prevent abuse. Purchases are handled by the linked checkout provider under its own terms. They are not necessarily anonymous.
  • LinguaX AI: When you request a text action, submitted text, action, necessary instructions and target language pass through LinguaX's server to the selected AI model provider; the result returns to you. For grants, billing and security, the License-linked ledger stores request/device identifiers, timestamps, status, token counts, reservations, charges and error reasons, but not a history of submitted text, custom instructions or results. The model provider processes request content under its own applicable policies, which may permit retention. Do not send sensitive text unless you accept that transfer.
  • Bring Your Own API: Your device sends text, instructions, model parameters and your API key directly to the HTTPS endpoint you configure, not through LinguaX's generation proxy. The key is kept in macOS Keychain. LinguaX may still validate your License. Review your provider's privacy terms and charges.
  • Local AIx activity: Action type, time, outcome, duration, error code and any LinguaX AI credits consumed are kept on the device for at most seven days, unless cleared earlier. This record excludes source text, results, custom instructions, API keys and the source app name. Clearing it does not clear the server's credit ledger.
  • Website and support: Google Analytics measures website visits and uses cookies or similar identifiers. The site and its hosting provider process technical request information to deliver and secure pages. If you contact us, we process the details you provide to answer and handle your request.

Sharing and International Processing​

Information is shared as needed with infrastructure and hosting providers, LinguaX's selected AI model provider for hosted requests, the checkout provider for purchases, Google for website analytics and authorities where required by law. Your own API endpoint receives content directly under your arrangement with that provider. Providers may process data outside your country; contact us for information about the providers and applicable transfer arrangements relevant to your use. We do not claim that a third-party model provider never retains submitted content.

Retention and Your Choices​

Local AIx activity is kept for no more than seven days. License and AI settlement metadata is retained as needed to administer Licenses and credits, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations; no fixed server-side deletion period has been established. The settlement ledger is not a repository of source text or results. The model provider may retain request content under its own policies.

You can withdraw agreement to AIx text transfers separately for each mode in the app to stop new requests, but this does not undo earlier transfers. You can manage website analytics cookies through your browser controls. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing and may complain to a data-protection authority. Contact hello@linguax.app about these rights or retention; we will handle requests under applicable law.
